I booked a last-minute stay at Hidden Hills Villas and the beautiful boutique property ended up being my husband’s favorite stay of the trip. The number of beautiful of villas on Bali are seemingly endless. After scouring the internet in search of the perfect Uluwatu stay, I landed on Hidden Hills Villas. Set high above the shores with panoramic ocean views, Hidden Hills Villas is the best of both worlds. Spacious private villas complete with all the amenities of a resort—gym, pool, top-rated restaurant, and a spa. Plus, the stunning property is surprisingly affordable. My only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer.
After 30+ hours of travel, we landed on Bali close to midnight. The delirium had set it and we were indescribably relieved to spot our driver, standing calmly dressed in Hidden Hills Villas attire, in a loud scene of jostling taxi drivers. The rest of the night is a sleepy blur and we woke up to marvel at the size of our massive one-bedroom accommodation and private garden. After exploring the grounds and admiring the views, we hopped onto one of the resort’s scooters and set off to explore Uluwatu.

Unique Villas
The five-star property consists of 15 unique villas ranging from spacious one-bed studios to a sprawling five-bed residence. Each villa has its own name and is decorated accordingly. Many of the villas feature a private pool to accompany their sweeping views. We stayed in the one-bed Tokyo Villa. This beautiful one-bedroom villa had large glass sliding doors that opened to a serene garden with an expansive view down the sloping island hills. There was a unique sense of complete privacy while also feeling free and open to nature.
PSA: Book either the Santorini or Marrakesh villas. Both of these one-bedroom studio villas have a private pool.
Intimate Five-Star Resort Service
With the small number of villas, the property’s attention to detail and service is incredible. Upon arrival you’re added to a chat group with a personalized butler for 24/7 support. And the staff is so kind and helpful. My husband must have been looking tired because one day after a morning of beach-hopping he got an unprompted poolside massage while waiting for our lunch. Shared amenities around the villa resort include a beautiful pool, spa, gym, and a top-rated restaurant Hidden Gem.
Central Uluwatu Location
Hidden Hills Villas is no more than a 10-15-minute ride from the iconic highlights of Uluwatu. The famous Padang Padang Beach is just 5-minutes away while Dreamland Beach is 10-minutes away. The Uluwatu Temple is 15-minutes from the property. While there are no outside restaurants within walking distance (the property is located on a hill), the property’s restaurant (Hidden Gem) and room service are delicious. We rented a scooter through the resort and found it super easy to reach all the best beaches, restaurants, and more!

We stayed in a traditional hotel when we visited Bali. But your post on Hidden Hills Villas made me think we needed to expand our search for accommodations. It looks like a lovely resort and I love the five star service. All in a good location!
