Hotel MiM Sitges

Hotel MiM Sitges is a sustainable boutique four-star hotel in Sitges, a charming seaside town outside of Barcelona. While the town can be seen during a day trip, its sandy beaches and lively nightlife are best experienced over a one-to-two-night stay. There are no five-star hotels or resorts in Sitges and only a handful of the four-star hotels are worth booking—Hotel MiM Sitges makes the cut and then some. 

We stayed at the lovely Hotel MiM Sitges in February of 2020 while enjoying Sitges’ lively Carnival festival. Here are my impressions of the boutique property!

Location

Just fifty meters from the beach, Hotel MiM Sitges is well-positioned among Sitges’ charming streets and near Old Town. Given the town’s small size, you can easily walk everywhere. Furthermore, the property is just behind Sitges’ most popular beaches—Platja de la Ribera and Platja de la Fragata. 

MiM Spa, Sky Bar, and Restaurant

Inside this modern boutique hotel, you’ll find the MiM Spa, a rooftop pool and Sky Bar, and a restaurant. The spa features an extensive hydrotherapy circuit. The rooftop terrace, home to the hotel’s outdoor pool and Sky Bar, is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and 360-degree views of Sitges during the summer months. The restaurant, like many of the others in the area, focus on fresh Mediterranean fare with local ingredients. 

Eco-Friendly

The most impressive feature of Hotel MiM Sitges though may be its commitment to the environment. Much of the material used to construct the building is either recycled or recyclable and the hotel operates water and energy saving measures in order to reduce its environmental impact. The property was the first hotel in Europe to receive LEED Platinum certification awarded by the US Green Building Council for its environmentally conscious infrastructure.
